Since 2009, we have delivered prison and justice programs in female and youth detention centres across Western Australia and correctional facilities throughout Indonesia.
Through mentoring, education, and rehabilitation support, we address the underlying drivers of offending, helping participants build resilience, strengthen protective factors, and successfully reintegrate into their families and communities. Our goal is to reduce recidivism and create better futures for youth, women, families, and WA communities.
Our prison and reintegration work began in 2009 at Bandyup Women’s Prison, where we started delivering programs to support women in custody and prevent future offending.
Since then, we have developed pre-release and post-release programs focused on rehabilitation, reintegration, and preventing recidivism. Through mentoring, education, and practical support, we help people address the factors that contribute to offending and build positive life pathways beyond prison.
Central to this work is our evidence-based mentoring program, which achieved an 89.7% success rate, with participants remaining out of prison more than 10 years after the program concluded.
Our commitment extends beyond Australia. Through our work in Indonesian prisons, we provide food, encouragement, and education to help offenders prepare for life after release and reduce the likelihood of reoffending.
Altogether, our approach is culturally safe, trauma-informed, and inclusive, supporting rehabilitation and stronger outcomes for youth, women, families, and WA communities.
