Yellow Ribbon Project Australia has reached more than 350,000 young people across Australian schools through prevention education and has developed a structured prevention curriculum. We have recorded 1,498 prisoner enrolments across female and youth prisons in Western Australia, and established WA’s first female mentoring program for ex-offenders, with an 89.7% success rate at 10 years post-release. Internationally, we have reached nearly 2,000 prisoners across male, female, and youth prisons in Indonesia, with our work formally recognised by the Indonesian government through a plaque of recognition. We also founded the Second Chance Choir, a 72-member ensemble awarded Best Choir, and our founder has authored two books now held in over 850 Australian schools.
Second Chance Choir is an award-winning choir made up of people who have lived through prison, addiction, domestic violence, and crime, standing alongside their mentors and families. Together they become one voice through song, sharing lived experience in a way words alone cannot. It is about showing that change is real, recovery is possible, and no one is defined by their past.
They perform across Western Australia at large-scale events, both secular and faith-based, using music to connect people, shift perception, and bring communities closer to what restoration actually looks like. It is a choir of hope.
I felt yesterday was the best presentation I have witnessed you give. Your flow, delivery and content was all on point. You deliver in a beautifully sincere and personal space! Thank you!
It’s always a joy to have you out, we’re very blessed that you keep room for us in your calendar. Thank you very much for sending through the content. It is really important stuff!
Thank you for your presentations, they were well received. I will. be in touch later in the term to book you again in 2027
Jade’s presentation was dynamic and fast paced which really seemed to engage the students attention” and the students got a lot out of what Jade shared
Our school has nearly 1000 students and the issues Jade discussed with the students were extremely pertinent to them. The students were held captive with Jade’s stories as she brought to life the very real dangers of keeping themselves safe and making smart choices in their lives. Jade will always be welcome back to our school.
Thank YOU for sharing your passion with our students and parents! You have a powerful story that always resonates with your audience that students remember long after they have left school. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and lived experience with our community
Thank you Jade for your engaging presentation we love having you
Jade I just wanted to let you know how impactful your talk was. During a debrief, 2 of our girls said they would like to give up vaping. They had been using it to calm their anxiety and now realise it isn’t helping.
