Look UP Coordinator

The Look UP program at Bandyup Women's is a Bible study program that includes bible teachings, worship and prayer where the women can get connected or re-connected to God. Those who undertake the six-week program have experienced amazing breakthroughs. Often women enter the class with a sense of hopelessness, hurt and loneliness and what they have received has given them hope, healing and a joy for life, regardless of their circumstances.

They feel loved and valued and find it to be a place where they can share real feelings. Relationships are being formed and we see them reaching out and encouraging one another, where they start off caught up in their own circumstances.

An amazing example of a life changed, is that of one of the women who was in the program who had been denied parole for many years and it seemed like there was no hope in her situation. She started attending the Look UP program a year ago and attended almost every week. She came into the program feeling insecure and on edge but in time she became secure and confident. She would often bring new girls to the program as she realised the impact on her own life. Through continuous prayer and faith she was granted parole this year and has now been released from prison. It was a miracle! She has been given a second chance and can carry on the restoration started in the Look UP program.
